Hello world, my name is Emily...
I am a twenty-something girl who is just trying to navigate this crazy thing called life. I am currently roughing it in the world of retail and I promise I will touch more on that later. Living at home (it's the new norm for most), battling the constant pile-ups of laundry to fold(that somehow always ends up on the floor) mother to an adorable golden retriever.
The idea to create a blog where I can express myself came to me YEARS ago but I never felt it was the right move till now.
I used to reflect on my accomplishments with not the most kind of eyes. Constantly telling myself that I should have gone down a different path. I am only stuck in this rut because I wasn't smart enough to get out of it.
Now that I'm a bit older I realized how damaging that was to my mental well-being. I have adopted the mindset that it's okay to be imperfect. Life is more authentic when you embrace the imperfections and use them to your advantage.
So here I am writing my story for all those who will listen, in hopes that I can help you feel a little less lonely. Or at the bare minimum provide a bit of comic relief.
